She has been working in the hospital setting as an ER physician and Hospitalist since 2009 first in Chicago and then moving to Arizona in 2010. Dr. Ponduchi opened her Internal Medicine practice in 2013 and joined Aspire as an investigator for research studies for multiple indications. She is also a group home physician for several homes in the valley, catering to the elderly.
Troy Anderson, MD
Dr. Anderson, established Phoenix Neurology & Sleep Medicine in 2006, followed by a sleep clinic and lab facility, and most recently, Sedona PALMS, a bariatric weight loss clinic with a nonprofit lifestyle modification program.
Board Certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine, Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his Neurology Residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He has 12 years of active duty with the U.S. Navy, including service as a U.S. Naval flight surgeon, where he received the highest peace-time medal for his heroic rescue of the survivors of a 1997 Korean Airline 747 jet crash.
In 2009, Dr. Anderson was named a "Top Doc" in neurology by PHOENIX magazine.
Dr. Anderson joined Aspire in 2014, with years of research experience. Dr. Anderson's interest in clinical research has followed him throughout his career, knowing that research is an imperative part of clinical excellence. Melanie Alarcio, MD
Dr. Alarcio was recently awarded "TOP DOCTOR" by US News 2014 for Pediatric Neurology.
Specializing in the field of Pediatric Neurology, Dr. Alarcio is prepared to provide neurological care for children, including treatments for conditions such as epilepsy, aneurysms, behavioral and neuromuscular disorders, sleep problems, learning disabilities and many other neurological conditions.
She received her medical degree from University of the East College of Medicine and has been in practice for 26 years. She also speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, Tagalog and Filipino.
Dr. Alarcio joined Aspire in 2014. She has expertise in key aspects of Clinical Research. Having extensive experience in both medicine and research, she is a welcomed addition.
Bunnie Richie, DO
Bunnie Richie, D.O., with fifteen years of experience in the Valley. Dr. Richie is board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties and fellowship trained in Neurophysiology. She enjoys seeing all neurological conditions.
Dr. Richie received her medical degree from Midwestern University in Illinois. Dr. Richie completed her Neurology residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago where she also served as Chief Resident and continued there to complete a fellowship in Neurophysiology.
Dr. Richie is active in other areas of medicine as well. She is on the Board of Trustees for the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association, Clinical Assistant Clinical Professor at Midwestern University-Glendale campus and has been a member of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners for which she has written board questions for over ten years. Dr. Richie has also been honored as a "Top Doc" by Phoenix magazine in 2011 and 2012. Dr. Richie joined Aspire in 2015, with over 12 years experience in research, she serves as Principal Investigator for Neurological studies.
